Con-Tech is currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused Shop/Yard Worker to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily construction operations by maintaining the yard, organizing materials and equipment, assisting with loading/unloading, and ensuring the shop and work areas remain clean and operational. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced construction environment and takes pride in being part of a strong team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop and yard.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with inventaory control and material tracking.
- Prepare tools, equipment, and supplies for crews and projects.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Operate forklifts, telehandler, skid steers, or other yard equipment.
- Assist mechanics and field crews as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Complete general labour duties and seasonal yard maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Previous construction, yard, or labour experience considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license required. 1A an asset.
- Forklift or equipment experience considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
